last week last minute filming decisions!

i want to somehow incorporate the tracks into my video i amthinking of producing a shot in which my actore is selceting various items to go in her handbag to go out with i was thinking of the track moving along while she is selctying variuos items such as lipstick,mints,keys,pefume etc

review of filming

yesterday i filmed the shots of a selection of dancers free styling my intention was to film both men and women dancing together however my female dancer let me down so to use the time efficiently i filmed a variety of people freestlying against a white backdrop

today i am filming my last shots for my video which are the dancing shots i was intending on using the main hall to create a club scence however the mocks are taking place and desks are taking up the entire capacity of the hall so now i am using a drama classroom and filming a selection of dancers freestyling

editing diary

with the majority of shots that i have edited already i looked over with my teacher we both came to the agreement that
1.blue top shot is too long
2.outside shot of door needs to be trimmed
3.the sitting on bed shot my actress looks at the camera to take the direction before throwing herself onto the bed

filiming diary

this week sometime i had had plan to film my last shots which are the shots of the dancers in the club this however and inevitably did not go according plan the dancer whom i had selected and were willing to participate in my video did not show up for a meeting which i had scheduled due to school trips detentions among other reasons .have got in contact with a few of them but due to the mock exams taking place in the drama hall i cannot film any of this week and some of my dancers a taking part in this exam so they are unable to film as well.i am not panicking about this scene as in the meantime of waiting for the hall to be and contacting my dancers at a convenient time i have been updating my blog editing all my shots i had filmed previously .also i have been selecting songs for my dancers to dance to as my actual selected song is boogie tonight is doesn't have the fastest tempo so i am selecting more vibrant songs that will boost the dancing energy when i am editing it against the music i will use a lot of special effects to make it synchronize with the music

november dance show-fantastic

on tuesday i was reccommended by the head of dance to view the dance show to see if i was impressed by the names that she gave me feature in my video i enjoyed th e show very much and was eager to work with these girls however i am contemplating on the reliability of these girls and we will all be able to work around the same schedule

its dancing time

yesterday i arranged i quick 5 minute meeting with some dance students that were recommended to me ms Burke the head of dance i was familiar with a few of the ladies who i Had asked to feature in my video i wanted to find out what projects they were featuring soon and they were all featuring in the annual November dance production so it gave me a chance to see there skills i was so happy with those who had came to the meeting and even more people than expected came they all seemed willing and enthusiastic about it as they are all entitled to be themselves and just have fun with it i am arranging another meeting on tuesday to discuss styling and see if there is anyone with any unique skills that they want to bring to the table and have recognised i need to get in contact with the lighting tachnichan and the head of arts to see when the drama hall is free to be used

editing diary

on wednesday i uploaded all my footage that i filmed at my house last week.the camera was straight and steady and everything look great within what i filmed however the lighting was a small issue when we was filimg the lighting looked great and didnt seem to be an issue however a few of the scenes were a bit dark but with my previous experience of foundation production i understand that that can be rectified so it should no longer be an issue.nothing thus far that i have filmed needs to be filmed agagin

filming diary

last week Thursday i completed all the shots and scenes where my house was necessary to be filmed we filmed over 30 minutes of footage which included all the shots that i have drafted plus more so i have alot of stuff that i Can play with when it comes to the editing the lighting also looked better than expected as the room that i was filming in was bright yellow including the ceiling i accomplished what i wanted from filming and even more i gave positive and constructive criticisms to my actors which enabled them to work better together.i would just let the camera roll at certain times so i can get natural feel and not have them over or under perform.i realised that my skills as a director as quite good as well as i briefly spoke to my actors about what i wanted and played them the track to them a few times so they got the feel of the song and the lyrics .they even said being featured in the video which included the elements of selecting outfits,getting ready,doing hair and make having drinks and a warm up dancing got them in the mood to go out and have a good time this was a very fun process and very natural

during the half term decided to film some shots for my video i decided to film stuff around my house that i thought would have some relevance such as clothing shoes mirrors accesories and alcohol .on thursday coming i hope to finsh all thr rest of the relvant shots where my house will be needed for location .this filimg will take place in the evening once it gets dark which should be around the time that i am finished at school.my actresses will need to bring a range of clothing and make up

so far for my music video i have selected my two actresses and my location.i still need to to select dancers which i will be doing sometime this week as there are many rehersals taking place for the annual november dance show .i have recuited a chreographer however depending on the amount of filimg that i accomplish i might consider choreographing a few of the dance sequences myself.
